I LOVE this hotel. I booked the hotel because I liked the location (near the main Kyoto station) and the overall Japanese style deco. It was a bit difficult to find when I got there (thanks to confusing Google map route, actually, it's very straight forward to walk from train station if you don't use Google map), but when I walked to the main road and understood the area, it was very easy to walk to many places. there are many restaurants and just a few minutes to walk to Yodobashi (huge electronics store) and Kyoto station which has Isetan department store & Porta (shopping & dining). For the hotel itself, it's clean, stylish and has everything you need. The room is very spacious with smart space saving / maximising details like side table which can be moved around and shelve below TV and so on. the room had 4 USB port in the middle of 2 beds and more than enough power points for your charging requirement. The bed was super comfortable and of course, everything was very very clean. They had small onsen (public bath) in the property which hotel guests could use and it was great after long day of walking. personally, I'm not a big fan of onsen/public bath, but it was so relaxing after walking for the whole day. The restaurant on the first floor offers good coffee and light food option. I had breakfast and the food was good~ If I go back to Kyoto, I will stay here again for sure.

I want to say the staff was wonderful, went above and beyond for us. I left my backpack on the train and without even me asking, they quickly gathered information on the type of train we were on (even helped with us with determining what train, as there are many, JR, Shinkansen, local...), time, destination etc... The same afternoon, they had located the backpack, left us instructions on where to go and even wrote a memo written in Japanese for the station agent (in case they do not speak English). I really appreciate how helpful, nice and understanding the staff is. The hotel also offers luggage transport at an affordable price. Mine arrived at my next hotel with no problems. There is a nice cafe located in the lobby of hotel - great for breakfast or afternoon break. Family Mart is literally steps away from the hotel, very convenient. The hotel itself is also very clean, sleek and quiet. I like that it's not a huge hotel so it's nice and not super loud.

We picked this hotel due to its proximity to the train station - which we were going to regularly for trips. It's so tidy, clean, and comfortable. Rooms are a decent size and the staff are very friendly. The onsen was very nice and they had complimentary fruit ice pops afterwards which was so refreshing. Eco-friendly amenities as well, and really beautifully designed. Would absolutely stay here again. We didn't have the breakfast included - but their breakfast place is also a cafe that people not staying in can access and it's very highly rated. Would be interested to try their breakfast - if we ever come back to Kyoto this is definitely where we would be staying. Nice and also away from the super touristy section which my husband and I really liked. The beds were so comfortable - we loved the pillows! In fact - we had meant to ask what brand they were so we could buy them ourselves!

Location, big room, causal friendly staffs, Onsen definitely are a big credit. I love the Onsen very much and everyday enjoy in morning and night time. The room is big and nice design, simple sen style and makes me very comfortable. Bed and pillow are good. On 21-23Dec, hotel prepared 柚子湯 in the public, very thoughtful and love it so much, so interesting and lovely experience. Staffs all are very helpful, hotel is not perfect and I think no place is perfect but they always try and do their best or try to find any solution for the situation, great and positive attitude. Few days ago, hotels staffs recommended me to 稻荷大社 for 初詣參拜, many people but very happy and so great to experience New Year, I'm glad to get 大吉 of おみくじ at 清水寺 & 稻荷大社.

Amazing

I spent two weeks in Japan and so far this was my favorite place I've stayed. I was a solo traveler and this room was awesome. The staff was friendly, and the location was SUPER close to the Kyoto train station. If you had luggage you could literally walk from the train station to this hotel. It was maybe a 5 minute walk. The onsen was also amazing. It was my first time trying it and it was fun. There were clear signs on what to do. The only thing that wasn't obvious is it is 100% nude (no swimsuits!) I knew this going into the experience, but some people may not. The breakfast was also quite good! It was more western that I expected which was a pleasant surprise.
